Terrance “Terry” Jeffery O’Hearn, 30

Terry O'HearnArmy Specialist Terrance “Terry” O’Hearn was born in Tampa Florida on Jan 20th, 1986 while his mom was active duty at Patrick AFB FL. He was the third of three children in a single parent household. Terry was born 8 weeks early because he couldn’t wait to see his family. Due to being premature; for most of his 1st few years he was a little guy and like Clifford the Big Red Dog, he grew and grew and by time he reached early adulthood he was 6’3’ tall. He was smart and kind and lovable. He loved video games and would spend hours playing even into adulthood. He went to school in the Contra Costa County School systems and was not a fan of the social aspects that goes along with being in school. He went to an alternative high school and graduated just before he was 17. Terry was loved by his family as only the baby in the family can be. He was one of 13 grandchildren and spent many hours “running in the pack” with his brother, and sister and cousins. Family and friends was always important to Terry. After graduating high school, he spent a year just kicking around with his best friend Ronnie Freeman. Terry and Ronnie spent the year “punking” each other just to get laughs and doing what boys do when together such as eating pizza and playing video games. Terry decided to join the Army as a way to pay for college. He will be missed as a good son, a good brother, a good friend and good soldier.

Loved ones left behind to cherish his memory, his Mother – Robin Kiepert; Brother – Jonathan Roeder; Sister – Megan (O’Hearn) McIvor; Terry has 5 nieces and 4 nephews; and whole family set of 1st cousins that adored him.

SPC Terry J O’Hearn lost his battle with PTS on February 5, 2016. He was 30 years old.
