This Memorial Wall is to honor and remember those who served out of country in the United States Military and those who serve in country as Law Enforcement, Firefighter or EMT and died by suicide. All of these men and women suffered with Post-Traumatic Stress, and because of a myriad of reasons, not just from the exposure to extreme levels of stress and trauma but what their mind’s eye has seen of the aftermath, took their own life.
• Military 22+ every day lost to suicide.
• Firefighter and EMT suicide rate is up 500%.
• Law Enforcement suicide rate is currently unknown, but we know it is substantial.
We are not only honoring & remembering on this wall, we are also raising awareness and helping the loved ones left behind to heal and cope. Sadly, when one dies by suicide it transfers their pain to their loved ones and with this comes a plethora of emotional feelings and a big one is guilt. Anyone can add heroes to the PTSD Memorial Wall i.e. family, friend, acquaintance and the Administers of the Wall. We have also made the wall mobile and display it at all events in the community.
